HGS / Artwork & printing

Get the artwork ready before printing.

Finished dimensions, bleed, colour references and cutting paths belong in the production brief.

List dimensions and quantities

List width, height, units, quantity and intended position for each design. State any artwork scale explicitly; a file’s page size alone does not establish finished dimensions.

Provide usable production files

Start with a PDF or editable vector file, with linked images and outlined text or the required fonts. Reference images can begin a discussion; final production files still require confirmation.

Separate cutting paths from graphics

Identify shaped cutting paths separately and use the bleed and safe margins confirmed by the production team. Do not merge cutting paths into the printed artwork.

Agree colour and sampling

Provide brand colour references or an approved physical sample. Screens do not replace physical approval; discuss a print sample for colour-sensitive work.

General production guidance. Confirmed drawings, material specifications and the agreed quotation govern each project.
